Mattapoisett Records Eight Property Transfers in Late July, Most Prices Undisclosed
Eight property deeds were recorded in Mattapoisett between July 17 and Aug. 15, but only two disclosed a sale price: $925 for a Mattapoisett property sold to Marcus and Taunya Baptiste on July 28, and $585 for 1 Barlow Lane, sold to Laurel J. Carlson on July 24. The median of the two disclosed sales was $755. Six of the eight transfers involved matching family surnames on both sides of the transaction, several moving into trusts. With pricing disclosed for just two of eight transactions, the period's data offers limited insight into overall market value trends.
