Few Prices Recorded as Family Trust Transfers Dominate Mattapoisett September Deed Activity
Mattapoisett recorded 10 property transfers at the Plymouth County Registry of Deeds between Sept. 4 and Oct. 3, but only two carried a sale price so far: $240 and $645, for a median of $442. The remaining eight transfers, including sales on Shagbark Circle, Prospect Road and Acushnet Road, have no price on file yet, which is typical for recently filed deeds and not a sign anyone withheld information. The best-documented sale was 18 Olivers Lane, which sold for $645 on Sept. 9. Seven of the 10 transfers moved property into trusts bearing the sellers' own names, pointing to a month with significant estate-planning activity. No street recorded more than one transaction.
